Auckland Airport
Singapore bound – Auckland airport on February 21st – off to meet my gorgeous girl!
An Air New Zealand Sky Couch
My bed for the night, for the flight! I bid (a very cheeky little bid) on a”sky couch” and won the auction. Bliss! Three seats to myself. Felt so spoilt!
At $5.50 per hour it was money well spent!
Marina Bay Sands
Singapore backdrop from Marina Bay Sands, at sunset – yes, a cocktail was within easy reach 😀
The Scarlet, a beautiful boutique hotel
Our home away from home, while in Singapore – a two minute walk from China Town and a 20m min walk from Marina Bay Sands (in one direction) and a 25 min walk to Raffles (in the other direction).
Singapore’s Garden by the Bay
These sculptures are stunning during the day but are spectacular by night and are just a small feature in an amazing garden.
Dreaming of Singapore
So much thought has gone into designing public spaces and places in Singapore.
The Singapore Riverside
This is busy during the day, but really comes to life at night
Happy Families at the Ubud Monkey Forest Sanctuary
These gorgeous families roamed freely, within the sanctuary, and were very content to have us wander past them. We were asked not to feed or touch them but several came up to check us out and have nosey!
Ingredients for an exotic Salad Dressing?
It might look like that, but it was actually a tray with oil samples that we could choose from, for our massage at Ubud Traditional Spa, Bali. Bliss
Singapore Airport
After 4 days of superb Singapore we grabbed a quick selfie, just before leaving for Bali. A stunning airport with several incredible water features.
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate tasting
Tickling the tastebuds during a thunderstorm at Lumbung Sari House of Luwak Coffee, Ubud, Bali
Wayan Tuges of Blueberry Guitars
I had the honour of meeting Wayan Tuges in his workshop. Wayan is a luthier – a master guitar maker and his workshop was home to hundreds of handcrafted and hand carved guitars that were a joy to look at as well as listen to. www.blueerryguitars.com
